Collect your accomplishments
4.30.2022When updating our resume in a hurry we realize later on so many accomplishments that was missed out which would have made a great impact to the employer. Hence instead of relying on the memory write down the accomplishments after every task done. Developing this habit will not only help while updating the resume but also improves the confidence by being aware of the growth trajectory.
Notes to take after every project or tasks
X. What you achieved.
Y. Quantitative measure of achievement.
Z. What you did.
These data can then be used when it is time to update the resume. An effective formula to articulate the experience is by using Google’s X-Y-Z formula
Google describes this as: "Accomplished [X] as measured by [Y], by doing [Z]."
Example "Grew revenue for 15 small and medium business clients by 10% QoQ by mapping new software features as solutions to their business goals."
